Overview
An update-download message does not mean Arth POS has lost all connectivity. Older desktop versions can fail while downloading an installer even when Arth web and your storefront work normally.
Steps
Step 1
Close the message and continue using Arth POS. Your existing local application data is not removed by this update failure.
Step 2
Open Arth POS Help or About and note the desktop version shown there.
Step 3
If the error continues, contact Arth Support with the version and screenshot so Support can provide the currently verified installer.
Step 4
Install the verified update once, then reopen Arth POS and use Check for updates to confirm normal automatic updates are restored.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the message mention internet when my web app works?
The message can describe a failed installer download rather than general internet loss. In particular, older desktop updater paths can be incompatible with the update server response even while normal web access works.
Troubleshooting
Arth POS repeatedly reports that it could not check for or download an update.
Check
- Confirm that the desktop version is recorded.
- Confirm whether Arth web and the storefront still open.
- Capture the full updater message and the time it occurred.
Resolution
Continue working in Arth POS, then ask Arth Support for the verified installer for your version. Include the recorded version and screenshot so the update path can be diagnosed accurately.
